UPDATE: NOV. 19; 11:42 A.M.
Robstown Police Chief Mike Tamez has confirmed that Tuesday's shooting is connected to Sunday morning's shooting on the 700 block of West Avenue C. He said the victim of yesterday's shooting knew the shooting suspects.
Tamez said his detectives and officers with RPD's Organized Crime Unit have been relentless in their pursuit for going after these individuals (suspects). Some of these individuals haven't even slept since yesterday at 8 o'clock since they came in, but it's a relentless persistence to make sure that the family gets justice... We do want to make sure that there is justice in this case for this young man."
Tamez urged parents to help police fix this problem.
"They need to get involved. Police officers can only do so much to protect and affect the prevention of shootings like yesterday and Sunday's but parents got to do their jobs. They need to step up and be parents. You know, that's the biggest problem here. We should never have these children out roaming the streets at this hour with weapons."
