CORPUS CHRISTI, Tx — Corpus Christi Police and the SWAT Team were called out to the 300 block of Foster Drive at 7:30 a.m. Monday, surrounding a home between Santa Fe Drive and Lawnview Street.

A neighbor called the police after seeing a suspicious man with a gun walking around the house. When police arrived, they surrounded the house. Police say a male entered the home and were holding multiple people at gunpoint.

Officers set up a perimeter and called out two women and one man. When officers entered the home, they found a man with minor injuries, and he was later taken to the hospital.

"They do have a few individuals detained at this time. Our detectives are sorting it out at this time to see what role each individual is involved with. There are no major injuries reported at this time," said Corpus Christi Police Department Senior Officer Antonio Contreras.

The CCPD SWAT Team cleared the home as a precaution, and no one was injured. The homeowner is okay, according to police.

Dantril Anthony Maurice Tapp-Hawkins, 20, and Rakim Ahmaad Sharkley, 31, were ultimately arrested for Burglary of a Habitation with intent to commit other felony, and Unlawful Restraint.
