CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — It was another hot and humid day here in the Coastal Bend.

Temperatures were in the mid 90's this afternoon with a heat index value around 110 degrees with a heat advisory issued through 7 p.m. People need to use extreme caution when spending a lot of time outdoors.

The good news is we will see a gradual cooling as we move through the next couple of days.

The forecast for tonight calls for partly cloudy skies and mild weather conditions with an overnight low around 78 degrees.

It will be hot and breezy again on Wednesday with an afternoon high around 94 degrees. The winds will be blowing out of the southeast at 15 to 20 mph.

Temperatures will drop down to the lower 90's by the end of the work week with increasing moisture.

These conditions could lead to a stray shower or two Friday through Sunday.

It will remain warm and muggy in the overnight hours with temperatures in the upper 70's.
