CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — It was a hot and humid start to our weekend here in the Coastal Bend.

We saw an afternoon high temperature of 95 with a peak wind gust out of the southeast at 32 mph.

The forecast for this evening calls for partly cloudy skies with an overnight low around 77 degrees.

We can expect very similar weather conditions on Sunday. Look for a daytime high around 95 degrees again tomorrow.

The heat index values will range from 104 to 110 degrees. Use caution when working outdoors.

We will see increasing moisture for the workweek ahead.

Isolated showers will be possible on Monday. There is a much better chance for more widespread showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday and Wednesday.

That is when a rare summer cool front will be rolling toward South Texas.

This will also bring us a little cooler temperatures and less humidity for the latter half of the week.

Daytime highs will be in the low to mid 90s with lows in the 70s.
