CORPUS CHRISTI — We could see another round of scattered showers today across the Coastal Bend. It will also be rather hot and humid with heat index values between 105 and 110 degrees. The forecast for today calls for partly sunny skies with scattered storms. Look for an afternoon high around 96 degrees. The winds will pick up out of the southeast this afternoon around 10 to 15 miles per hour. Tonight we can expect partly cloudy skies with a stray shower possible. Expect an overnight low around 80 degrees.
It will dry up for the first half of the workweek. Expect sunny skies with daytime highs in the mid to upper 90's. We could also see a few more heat advisories this week. Tropical moisture and a chance of rain will return to the area as we get closer to next weekend.
