CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — We are waking up to another round of showers and thunderstorms across portions of the Coastal Bend this morning.

We still have a lot of moisture in place as a result of Tropical Storm Fernand, which moved through northern Mexico.

Some areas have picked up close to an inch of rain overnight.

The forecast for today calls for mostly cloudy skies with more rain likely. Expect a daytime high around 92 degrees with winds blowing out of the east at 10 to 15 miles per hour.

Tonight we can expect partly cloudy skies and mild weather conditions. Look for an overnight low around 78 degrees.

Drier air will start to move into South Texas the next couple of days. We could still see a stray shower on Friday with an afternoon high around 94 degrees.

It will be sunny and warm this weekend with daytime highs in the mid 90's. A few showers could return early next week.
