CORPUS CHRISTI — It was a sunny and warm start to our weekend here in the Coastal Bend. We set a new record high temperature this afternoon with a daytime high of 89 degrees. That is about 21 degrees above normal for this time of year. We are looking for increasing moisture overnight. This could lead to a little patchy fog. Expect an overnight low around 62 degrees. The forecast for Sunday calls for more warm and windy weather conditions. Look for a daytime high around 86 tomorrow with the winds blowing out of the south at 15 to 25 miles per hour.

The next big cold front will blow through South Texas around lunch time on Monday. There is a slight chance for a few showers with the frontal passage. It will also be rather windy in the afternoon. This storm system will usher in some of the coolest temperatures of the season. Temperatures will dip down into the the upper 30's to lower 40's Tuesday and Wednesday morning. We will see a gradual warm up for the latter half of the week
