Our cold front is here and temperatures are returning to average today. This cool-down will continue as temperatures fall below average tomorrow morning.
This afternoon will be breezy as cooler, drier air continues to move into the area. North-northwest winds will be sustained near 20 MPH, gusting 25-30 MPH at times. This will make high temperatures in the low to mid-70s feel rather 'brisk for those of us who have gotten used to the 80s. Pick out your favorite sweater now— temperatures tomorrow morning will be in the 40s! This pattern of cold mornings and pleasant afternoons will continue through the end of the week.
This weekend, isolated showers and increasing clouds are in the forecast. A little extra 'oomph' from the upper atmosphere will help keep this cool weather in the forecast through Christmas! Of course that's a ways out so we'll continue to keep an eye on the holiday forecast.
