CORPUS CHRISTI — It was a beautiful start to our weekend here in the Coastal Bend. We saw abundant sunshine with an afternoon high near 70 degrees. The forecast for tonight calls for mostly clear skies and cool weather conditions. Look for an overnight low around 55 degrees. The warming trend will continue again tomorrow. We can expect a few more clouds with a daytime high around 77 degrees. Light winds will shift to the southeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour.
We will see some dramatic weather changes on Monday. It will start out cloudy and warm. However, a very strong cold front will roll through the area in the early evening hours. There is a very good chance for showers and thunderstorms with the frontal passage. It will also turn windy and much colder. The daytime high on Tuesday will only be in the upper 40's. A slow warm up is expected mid week. We could also see a few showers Wednesday and Thursday. Sunny and nice weather conditions will return as we get closer to next weekend.
