CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — It was another very hot day in the Coastal Bend.

A Heat Advisory was issued for much of the area today as temperatures soared above 110 degrees.

People need to use extreme caution when spending extended periods of time outdoors. This will continue to be the case for the next several days.

The forecast for tonight calls for mostly cloudy skies and mild weather conditions.

Look for an overnight low around 80 degrees. And on Thursday, we can expect morning clouds with abundant sunshine and an afternoon high of 94 degrees with winds blowing from the southeast at 15 to 20 mph.

High pressure will continue to dominate our weather through next week. That means the hot and humid weather will stick around.

The daytime high temperatures will be in the low to mid 90's. The overnight low temperatures will be in the upper 70's to around 80 degrees with no rain is expected in the forecast period.
