Isolated Showers are Possible

CORPUS CHRISTI — We are waking up to a few isolated showers across portions of the Coastal Bend this morning. There will be enough moisture in place to also trigger a few storms this afternoon. Otherwise, look for an afternoon high of 94 degrees under mostly sunny skies. The winds will be light blowing out of the southeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour. The forecast for tonight calls for partly cloudy skies and mild conditions. Expect an overnight low around 76 degrees. It will be mostly sunny and dry on Sunday with a daytime high around 94 degrees.

We are watching a tropical wave that will also be moving across the Gulf of Mexico the next few days. This will give us a slight chance of showers on Labor Day. We should get up to about 95 degrees on Monday. Showers will become more numerous midweek. This should help to drop down our temperatures a couple of degrees. Drier air will be moving in as we get closer to next weekend.
