CORPUS CHRISTI — It was a hot and humid start to our weekend here in the Coastal Bend. We made it up to 97 degrees this afternoon. However, the heat index values was near 110 degrees. A Heat Advisory had been issued. We can expect another advisory for tomorrow. It was also rather breezy. The peak wind gust was out of the southeast at 31 miles per hour. We can expect similar weather conditions on Sunday. The forecast for tonight calls for partly cloudy skies with an overnight low around 79 degrees.
We will remain hot and dry for the first half of the workweek. Daytime highs will be in the mid 90's with overnight low temperatures around 80 degrees. We will see a slight change in our weather pattern late week. We will see increasing moisture from the Gulf. This could lead to a few isolated showers and thunderstorms as we get closer to next weekend.
