CORPUS CHRISTI — We are waking up to some much drier weather conditions here in the Coastal Bend this morning. It looks like this trend will continue as we head into the weekend.

However, there is still enough moisture in place that we can not rule out a stray shower today.

Some areas are also reporting some pretty thick fog.

The forecast for today calls for mostly sunny skies with an isolated shower possible. Expect an afternoon high around 94 degrees. The winds will be light out of the southeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour.

It will be sunny and warm this weekend with daytime highs in the mid 90's. Heat index values will range from 105 to 109 degrees.

Use caution when spending extended periods of time outdoors.

The moisture will be increasing for the start of next week. This will bring us another chance of showers. However, the rain will not be as heavy or widespread as we have seen in the past couple of days.
