CORPUS CHRISTI — It's going to be another hot and humid afternoon here in the Coastal Bend. Look for a mixture of sunshine and clouds with a daytime high around 95 degrees. It will also be a bit breezy. The winds will be picking up our of the southeast at 15 to 20 miles per hour. The heat index values will be near 105 degrees this afternoon. Make sure and be careful when spending a lot of time outdoors. The forecast for tonight calls for partly cloudy skies and mild conditions. Look for an overnight low around 77 degrees.
We will start to see some changes in our hot and dry weather pattern next week. It will still be pretty warm on Monday and Tuesday with afternoon high temperatures in the mid 90's. However, a front is likely on Wednesday which could bring us some showers and cooler weather. Showers will be possible each afternoon Monday through Thursday. However, the best chance for more widespread showers and thunderstorms will be midweek. Expect less humidity and mild temperatures for the latter half of the week.
