CORPUS CHRISTI — Look for another day of extreme heat here in the Coastal Bend. A Heat Advisory has been issued from noon today through 6 pm. Heat index values will range from 110 to 115 degrees. People should limit their time outdoors to avoid heat exhaustion or even heat stroke. The forecast for today calls for mostly sunny skies with a daytime high of 98 degrees. The winds will be blowing out of the southeast at 15 to 20 miles per hour. Tonight we can expect partly cloudy skies with an overnight low around 79 degrees.
High pressure will continue to dominate our weather for the week ahead. That will bring us more sunny skies and hot temperatures. Look for daytime highs in the upper 90's with overnight low temperatures around 80 degrees. We could see a few isolated streamer showers late in the week.
