CORPUS CHRISTI — It is going to be a fantastic weekend here in the Coastal Bend. We are looking for abundant sunshine and temperatures running well above average. Look for a daytime high around 83 degrees this afternoon with light winds out of the southeast. The forecast for tonight calls for mostly clear skies with some patchy fog. We will see an overnight low around 62 degrees. Sunday will be sunny and warmer with an afternoon high of 85 degrees. The winds will be a bit gusty tomorrow ahead of the next storm system.
The next big cold front will move through South Texas on Monday. This will bring us strong northerly winds and cooling temperatures. There is a very slight chance of an isolated shower with the frontal passage. However, most areas will remain dry. It is going to be rather chilly midweek. Daytime highs will be in the lower 60's with overnight low temperatures in the upper 30's to lower 40's. A gradual warm up is expected for the latter half of the week.
