CORPUS CHRISTI — It was a sunny and warm start to our weekend here in the Coastal Bend. We saw an afternoon high of 93 degrees with a peak wind gust around 22 miles per hour from the east. It should also be a rather pleasant evening. The forecast calls for mostly clear skies with an overnight low around 75 degrees. We are looking for increasing moisture the next several days. This will likely lead to scattered showers on Sunday. Expect a daytime high around 91 degrees. The winds will be blowing out of the northeast at 10 to 15 miles per hour.

All eyes will be on the Gulf this next work week as a disturbance moves closer to South Texas. The Hurricane Center indicates this storm has a 30 percent chance of developing into a tropical depression or tropical storm. The biggest threat for more widespread storms will be Monday through Wednesday. A little drier air will return for the latter half of the week. Expect daytime highs in the lower 90's with overnight lows in the mid to upper 70's.
