CORPUS CHRISTI — It was a cloudy and windy end to the weekend here in the Coastal Bend. We still made it up to 72 degrees with a peak wind gust of 30 miles per hour. The clouds are going to clear out this evening. This will help lead to some much cooler temperatures. The forecast for tonight calls for mostly clear skies with an overnight low of 43 degrees. The winds will taper off to about 5 to 10 miles per hour. It going to be sunny and nice for the next couple of days as high pressure will be in control. Daytime highs will be in the low to mid 60's with overnight lows in the 40's Monday and Tuesday.

We will start to see increasing moisture on New Year's Eve. A stray shower will be possible Tuesday evening. However, There is a much better chance of more widespread rain on Wednesday and Thursday. Some areas could pick up between 1 and 2 inches of rain. A weak front will roll through late Thursday. This will bring us a return of the sunny and mild weather conditions next weekend.
