A Bit Drier Today

CORPUS CHRISTI — It should be a pretty good day to enjoy the beach on this Labor Day weekend. We are looking for abundant sunshine and light winds this afternoon. Expect a daytime high around 96 degrees. The winds will be blowing out of the northeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour. The forecast for tonight calls for mostly clear skies and mild weather conditions. Look for an overnight low around 77 degrees.

We are watching a tropical wave that is forecast to move across the Gulf of Mexico. The Hurricane Center has given the disturbance a low chance of developing into a tropical depression or tropical storm. However, it will bring increasing moisture to the area starting tomorrow. The forecast of the holiday calls for a few showers with a daytime high in the mid 90's. The shower activity will become much more widespread on Tuesday and Wednesday. This will also help to drop our temperatures a few degrees. Drier air will return next weekend.
