CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — One local group is coming together to ensure that every veteran and their families have a cheerful holiday season.
“We know that it's rough right now with COVID, and we want to take care of as many families as we can,” said Brenda Crawley, a volunteer with Operation Homefront.
The group partnered with Dollar Tree, Dollar General and Home Depot to provide toys to veterans and their families.
Veterans and military were given first priority. But the toy giveaway was opened to the public as well.
Operation Homefront is planning a school supply giveaway for military and veterans in August.
