CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Flour Bluff boys and girls basketball earned the Tuesday sweep over Moody for their UIL District 29-5A duel.

The Hornets are in a three-way tie for the district lead after overpowering Moody 79-26. Veterans Memorial fell to Ray 66-63, so now all three teams are (6-1) in district play.

The Lady Hornets faced back-to-back overtime games, but came out the victor on Tuesday, 44-40 over Moody. Flour Bluff girls basketball is now (6-1) in district play. The only other team with only one loss in district is Veterans Memorial. Moody's loss keeps them on the hunt for a playoff spot.

Flour Bluff basketball will play at Carroll on Friday.
