CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — It's the season of giving, and that certainly held true for St. Pius X Catholic Church.

The church set up an 'Angel Tree' for parishioners to pick a person to gift a pair of shoes to.

The church collected hundreds of shoes and on Friday, members of the church donated some shoes to the Mother Teresa shelter.

"This just happens to be one of the things St. Pius has always contributed to," said Colleen Thomas. "The angel tree is so easy and it's always there every Christmas."

The rest of the shoes collected will be given to other local shelters.
