ARANSAS PASS, Texas — The search continues for the driver responsible for a fatal hit-and-run near Aransas Pass.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, it happened Nov. 27 on the SH 35 bypass, approximately 3 miles north of Aransas Pass.
DPS said according to nearby surveillance video, a light colored pick up truck was seen striking a woman and continued without stopping.
DPS troopers found her body lying in the center median of the highway.
Authorities have identified her as 61-year-old Toni Kinnard, a San Antonio resident. At this time, investigators are still searching for the driver involved.
