CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Coffee Waves will be opening its door for a few hours Friday to anyone who needs a warm place.

They will also provide a cup of coffee and pastries on a pay-what-you-can basis and is limited to one per person.

Of the three locations, they will be opening their South Alameda coffee shop.

Steven Harrison, who is a Coffee Waves manager, said, "(We) are only able to provide a small amount of coffee due to their low water pressure but they are happy just trying to support those in need."

“We’ve had low water pressure and we’re able to get here early enough in the morning to get ahead of it try to make as much coffee as we can, try to get as much hot water as we can to try and support whoever shows up that day,” Harrison said.

He also added they have had a water pipe burst and lost power for a few hours earlier this week but they have powered through.

If you choose to stop by their drive thru and dine in will be open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

In addition, if you take milk with your coffee, they will only be serving almond milk, oat milk, or soy milk.
