Drivers passing through Mary Street near South Staples had to avoid this massive sinkhole, which opened over the weekend.
Monday, it had some barriers around it.
City of Corpus Christi officials said the sinkhole was caused by an old wastewater pipe which burst 18 feet under the ground.
Crews are pumping out the water and hope to get a better look at it. They hope to repair it sometime this week.
