CCPD announce man arrested in recent homicide case

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Corpus Christi police have announced they have arrested a man in connection with the city's latest homicide investigation.

On Sunday around 4:22 a.m., Corpus Christi police officers were dispatched to the area of 500 N. Shoreline in reference to two suspicious persons in the area. When officers arrived at the scene, they located a 53-year-old deceased male, identified as Emilio Flores.

Through their investigation and with the help of tips from the public; Detectives identified a suspect.

A murder warrant for 18-year-old Victor Padilla was issued. Padilla was arrested on 04, 2019 by Corpus Christi Police Officers and was later transported to the Nueces County Jail.

Padilla's bond was set $500,000 Bond.
