CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Several Corpus Christi Independent School District teachers and staff members have resigned this academic year and several more have retired, according to a public information request received by KRIS Communications.

Several of those teachers were at Windsor Park Elementary School.

While school principal Kimberly Bissell said she couldn't comment on specific reasons the four staff members resigned, she did confirm to KRIS 6 News it was over COVID-19 concerns.

Phase two starts Monday for the next batch of students returning to on-campus learning.
