KINGSVILLE, Texas — Some schools within Kingsville ISD have returned to remote learning after several students tested positive for coronavirus.
According to the school district, 3 cases were reported at Memorial Middle School, 3 were reported at Harrel Elementary School, and 1 was reported at Gillett Intermediate.
There was also 1 reported case at H.M. King High School. However, the district said this student was a remote learner and has not been on the campus.
Out of an abundance of caution, Memorial, Harrel, and Gillett have returned to full remote learning until Nov. 2. Teachers within these campuses will also work remotely as the campuses are disinfected.
The school district said it plans to still move forward with Phase 3 opening on Oct. 26 for all other campuses.
