8:30 a.m. - Nueces County reports that an individual working in the Nueces County Courthouse has tested positive for the coronavirus.
7:30 a.m. - Jim Hogg County is reporting 53 COVID-19 cases. 35 of those cases are recovered.
8/2 updates
4:33 p.m. - Nueces County is reporting 13 more COVID-19 deaths, boosting the local total during the pandemic to 195.
Of the 13 patients were 10 males and 3 females. The ages ranged in their 30s, 40s (2), 50s, 70s (5) and 80s (3). The other patient's age was unknown. The comorbidities of the patients included hypertension, cancer, diabetes, and obstructive pulmonary disease.
The Nueces County Public Health District reported 97 new cases on Sunday, pushing the county's COVID total to 12,575 during the pandemic.
The district reports that 723 have been hospitalized during the pandemic and 321 currently are in the hospital with 127 of those in the intensive care unit. The county reports 4,225 patients are recovered from COVID.
4 p.m. - Kleberg County and the City of Kingsville have announced 18 additional COVID-19 cases and one death in the county. That brings the total in the county of confirmed cases during the pandemic to 359.
There were seven individuals removed from isolation, pushing the county's active confirmed COVID-19 case count up to 111.
8/1 updates
4:45 p.m. - Nueces County is reporting six more COVID-19 deaths, boosting the local total during the pandemic to 182.
The Nueces County Public Health District said the patients were one male and five females with ages ranging in their 50s, 60s, 70s (2) and 90s (2). The comorbidities of the patients included asthma, diabetes, coronary artery disease and hypertension.
The district also reported177 new cases, boosting the overall countywide total during the pandemic to 12,478. During the pandemic, 700 have been hospitalized, with 343 of those still in the hospital and 129 of those in intensive care. The county reports 4,113 COVID-19 patients have recovered.
7/31 updates
5:12 p.m. - Nueces Co. is reporting 356 new cases Friday, which city manager Peter Zanoni said is the highest number of new confirmed cases in the last seven days. Ten new deaths also have been reported, bringing the county's total to 176.
More than 500 cases also have been added to the county's case count. The State of Texas began helping manage cases July 19. It helped with testing and contacted people who tested positive. The county was informed of those numbers Thursday, which totaled 555. Those patients were diagnosed during a 12-day span. Zanoni said the state will now report cases it handles to the county on a daily basis to avoid a similar backlog.
5:09 p.m. - The city's order closing parks and city pools in Corpus Christi expires at 6 a.m. Saturday. That order will be allowed to end and those facilities will open, with the exception of the Natatorium, which suffered damage during Hurricane Hanna.
4 p.m. - Four new cases reported in Aransas county. They are at 153 total.
2:49 p.m. - San Patricio County reports 29 new cases of COVID-19, bringing 797 total cases. 565 have recovered.
2:45 p.m. - Brooks County reports 84 total cases. 51 have recovered and 33 are active.
2:43 p.m. - Live Oak County now has 213 COVID cases total. That makes 21 cases in quarantine and 42 cases recovering, for a total of 63 active cases. they remain at one COVID related death.
10:20 a.m. - Jim Hogg County is reporting 52 COVID cases. 34 have recovered.
10:15 a.m. - Kleberg County is reporting 13 additional cases. That brings their total COVID-19 cases to 341. 101 cases are active.

7/30 updates
5:56 p.m. - Bee County reports 20 new cases which raises their total to 405
5:30 p.m. - Aransas county is now up to 149 total COVID cases. 50 people have recovered.
5:11 p.m. - Nueces Co. reports 230 new cases and four deaths Thursday. Today's death county brings the county's total to 166. City Manager Peter Zanoni said the four deaths are about half of what the county has been reporting daily. Hospitals are caring for 387 patients, with 144 of those in the ICU.
3:10 p.m. - 27 new cases reported in San Patricio county Thursday. They now have 768 total with 515 have recovered.
2:37 p.m. - Duval County is reporting 148 COVID cases so far. 66 have recovered. One resident died earlier this week.
2:36 p.m. - Jim Hogg is reporting 50 COVID cases. 33 have recovered.
7/29 updates
Jim Hogg county reported their first COVID related death and one new COVID case Wednesday. Totals as of Wednesday are 50 positive cases of which 17 remain active and 33 have recovered.
Refugio County reported three new positive COVID-19 cases. They have 96 active cases and 86 recovered, according to them.
Jim Wells County reported 13 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 bringing their total number of cases to 573.
9:30 p.m. - Kleberg Co. and Kingsville are reporting 12 new cases COVID-19 cases to confirm. There have no been 328 total confirmed cases in the county. Six cases involve children younger than 15 years old.
7:20 p.m. - Administrators at the Hacienda Oaks in Beeville confirm that 21 residents ane 23 workers at the assisted living facility have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
Administrator Gilbert Martinez Jr. said two of the workers at the facility have recovered.
"Hacienda Oaks Beeville’s dedicated health care professionals have implemented protocols to isolate those residents and staff that have tested positive for the virus from the general population," Martinez told KRIS 6 News. "The facility has dedicated various wings of the facility solely to treat the Covid 19 positive residents, implemented extensive cleaning procedures, and contained the remaining residents in their rooms."
5:44 p.m. - Bee County confirmed 44 new cases of COVID-19 in the community. Their total is now.
4:42 p.m. - Nueces County is reporting 259 new cases Wednesday, bringing the county's total confirmed cases to 11,160. Of those cases, 233 are confirmed new cases and 26 are probable new cases. Currently 397 people are hospitalized, with 147 of them in the ICU; 3,989 are recovered.
4:20 p.m. - Nueces County reports 8 new coronavirus related deaths. This makes the total death count 162 for the county.
The patients were 6 males and 2 females with ages between 20 and 90 years old.
Their comorbidities included diabetes and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
3:02 p.m. - The San Patricio Public Health Preparedness Department reports 26 new cases but no hospitalizations. The total COVID-19 case count is now 741 with 277 active cases.
The immediate risk of transmission is intermediate for the county.
San Patricio county has a total of 14 coronavirus related deaths, which were reported yesterday.
58 individuals have been released from COVID-19 protocol, according to the county.
11 a.m. - Kleberg County Judge Rudy Madrid and the City of Kingsville Mayor Sam Fugate reported four additional COVID-19 cases Wednesday.
7/28 updates
5 p.m. - The Nueces County Public Health district reports 6 new COVID-19 related deaths, 217 new confirmed cases, and 37 new probable cases. Of the 401 current coronavirus hospitalizations, 152 are in intensive care.
3 p.m. - San Patricio county has reported 14 new deaths Tuesday. This does not necessarily mean they all died today; rather that they were reported today due to a lag in reporting.
"Our hope is that the Community recognizes that our delay in reporting fatalities is not a denial on the County’s part that we have lost precious lives to COVID-19," said a news release from their Public Health Preparedness Department. "Rather, Dr. Mobley and other County leaders pursued means of improving the line of communication between DSHS and the County regarding disseminating an accurate count of COVID-19 deaths for San Patricio County."
They also reported 21 new cases Tuesday, raising their total number to 694 with 350 active cases.
7/27 updates
10:56 p.m. - Kleberg Co. officials announced three new cases Monday. The county now has had 311 confirmed cases.
4:50 p.m. - Nueces county reports seven new COVID-19 related deaths Monday as well as 164 new cases.
The patients were 5 males and 2 females with ages between 40 and 90. The comorbidities of the patients included hypertension and coronary artery disease.
They also reported 66 new probable cases.
There are currently 414 COVID patients in Nueces county hospitals, 152 of those are in intensive care.
2:33 p.m - San Patricio County's Public Health Preparedness Department reports 28 new cases Monday.
The county's hospitalization count is now zero but the risk of transmission is still intermediate. 35o cases are still active of the 694 total. 26 have been removed from the county's COVID protocol.
