#TakeoutTuesday is a day to remember our local eateries

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The state is gradually allowing more businesses to open.

Gov. Greg Abbott has pushed the limit for dine-in eating at restaurants in recent weeks, now allowing 50 percent capacity.

That's leading to more restaurants bringing back their wait staffs and opening their dining rooms to feed hungry patrons.

But it remains vital to provide our business to local restaurants who were there for us for the last few weeks during the bleakest days of the pandemic.

That's why we at KRIS 6 News still are conducting #TakeoutTuesday to support our eateries who were open throughout the pandemic.

And while you can eat in a dining room more easily today than a few weeks ago, some diners still might not be ready to make that step.

It's understandable.

And if it might alleviate concerns if you and your family still aren't ready to visit a restaurant dining room - take your time before you make the next step.

And a great way to still support the restaurants would be by visiting a restaurant of your choice on #TakeoutTuesday.
