The dry side of "Imelda"

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Tropical storm Imelda went in near Freeport about 40 minutes after forming and is causing very heavy rains in southeast Texas.

We are getting just the wrap around moisture on the dry west side.

Once our winds return from the Gulf we will pick up additional isolated showers the rest of this week but the significant rains will stay north and east of the Coastal Bend.

Tonight expect a few showers in our northern counties otherwise fair skies and a low of 75.

Wednesday will be baking hot and humid by afternoon with isolated thundershowers otherwise considerable sunshine and a high of 96.

Wednesday night will be mainly clear warm and sticky with a low of 76.

Thursday expect isolated thundershowers again hot breezy and more humid with a high of 92.
