CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — We've made it to the end of the week and the warm and muggy conditions will continue for today and at least for the first part of the weekend.

There is still some patchy dense fog in the area, but most of it is in our inland regions for San Patricio, Bee and Refugio counties. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for those areas until 8 a.m. Motorists are urged to use caution on the roadways.

Today will be similar to yesterday in the temperature department, we'll forecast an afternoon high right around 84 here in Corpus Christi. Inland areas will see those highs one or two degrees higher. There will be more cloud coverage in the region today, but should lead to only partly cloudy skies and still a very nice afternoon.

There will be a cold front that will be arriving from the central Plains on Saturday, producing a very warm day for us here with a high around 86 in the city. And by Sunday evening that front will arrive here in the Coastal Bend.

The front will, of course, be modified and it's not going to be a very strong. However, it will cool us off to near seasonal levels for early next week.

Also, with frontal passage on Sunday afternoon and evening, we'll look for a few isolated showers. It's not going to be a huge deal, however some residents could pick up around a quarter of an inch before the front moves south.

By Wednesday and Thursday of next week, most of the cooler air will retreat and our highs will go from the 70s on Monday and Tuesday back to the 80s. However, morning lows will still be cool in the mid to upper 50s.

Have a great weekend!
