Tropical moisture is still in play

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Now that Fernand has gone inland in Mexico and is dissipating the system has left behind abundant tropical moisture that will be in position to produce scattered tropical showers late tonight and mainly the first half of the day on Thursday. Upper level high pressure will dry us out and heat us up after that.

Tonight expect some coastal showers to develop after midnight it will be warm and sticky with a low of 78 under mainly cloudy skies.

Thursday expect less wind but still lots of clouds with scattered tropical showers (locally heavy) very humid and hot by afternoon with a high of 92.

Thursday night will be mainly clear and nearly calm with a low of 76.

Friday expect more sunshine a lot less rain-just a stray shower generally light winds and a high hotter at 94.
