CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — All eyes are on Hurricane Delta which will move into the Gulf by this afternoon, tracking to the northwest.

It is forecast to turn to the north later tonight and head for the Louisiana coastline, making landfall Friday. High swells generated by the storm will arrive along our coast the next few days, pushing water higher onto the beaches and increasing the rip current risk.

An increase in tropical moisture will give us a chance of coastal showers late Thursday and Friday with drier air moving in for the weekend.

After some patchy inland fog and low clouds this morning, we'll have a mostly sunny afternoon with a high near 90 and northeast breeze up to 12 mph.

Tonight looks partly cloudy with lows in the upper 60s.

It will be a bit more humid Thursday and Friday with partly cloudy skies and a slight shower chance with a high near 90.

The weekend will be hot and humid with highs in the low 90s under mostly sunny skies.
