Showers and thunderstorms in parts of the Coastal Bend are weakening as they approach the coast with a very similar pattern to last Friday.

Some western areas are getting a lot more rain than here in Corpus Christi and near the coast.

A series of three cold fronts will eventually take our temperatures to near 50 degrees by Monday night and early Tuesday morning.

Tonight, scattered showers and thunderstorms more north and less south will gradually end after midnight with a rain-cooled low of 66.

Friday, expect lots of clouds breezy and cooler with a high of 77 and only a stray shower.

Friday night will be damp and mild, with scattered showers late and a low of 69.

Saturday, expect scattered light showers, breezy, humid and warmer temperatures with a high of 83.

Sunday, we will have clearing skies with a lot less humidity. It'll be windy and still warm with a high of 87.

A strong dry cold front arrives Sunday night.
