More rain in the short-term forecast

There is one front parked over South Texas, and a cold front that will sweep the area and move into the Gulf on Friday, resulting in very nice weather for the weekend.

Rain will precede frontal passage.

Tonight, showers gradually end, then redevelop near the coast after midnight with a more comfortable low of 74.

Thursday we will have numerous thundershowers, some with locally heavy rain, and humid climates, but it won't be as hot, with a high of 88.

Thursday night, showers gradually end, and skies will be damp and mild with a low of 73.

Friday will only produce an isolated shower. It ill be breezy and less humid, with a high temperature near 90.

Temperatures will drop into the 60's for lows away from the water beginning on Saturday morning.
