Cold nights but pleasant daytime highs for the weekend

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Surface high pressure will drop right over South Texas and result in the coldest night of the season with front and freezing conditions over nearly all of the KRIS 6 viewing area.

Brilliant sunshine will produce gorgeous daytime weather conditions. Clouds some rain and much milder temperatures return next week.

Tonight, a freeze warning is in effect except in coastal areas clear nearly calm and cold with a low near 30 but ranging up to 38 near the water.

Saturday will be fabulous with sunny skies light winds dry and pleasant with a high of 69.

Saturday night except fair skies and chilly but not as cold with a low of 42.

Sunday will be a pleasant day with a mix of clouds and sunshine light winds and seasonal with a high near 70.

Measurable rain is expected the middle of next week.
