Big changes will affect our hot humid, dry weather

One of the last cold fronts for several months will move through the Coastal Bend on Friday afternoon and evening, and bring with it some (but not enough) rainfall along with much cooler temperatures through Sunday.

Tonight will be windy, muggy, and unseasonably warm, with a low of 76.

Friday, we will have variable sunshine with decreasing winds from morning up until frontal passage. It will be hot early with a high of 91, then scattered thundershowers and an isolated thunderstorm will arrive during the afternoon and evening with falling temperatures.

Friday night will be cloudy, windy, and cooler, with occasional -- mainly light -- showers and a low of 63.

Saturday will be much cooler with with cloudy skies, periods of light rain, and rather breezy with a high of only 71.

Mother's Day will be pleasant, with a lot less wind and still mostly-cloudy skies with a high of 79.
