CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Upper level high pressure over the southern Rockies will move eastward and actually be centered over south Texas by this weekend resulting in very dry conditions and extraordinary heat over the next seven days.

Any rainfall will be stray at best. At least the tropics are quiet for now.

Tonight will be mainly clear and tranquil with a low of 77.

Tuesday expect only a stray shower otherwise lots of sunshine breezy and blazing hot with a high of 97 and a heat index of 108.

Tuesday night will be warm and stuffy with mostly clear skies and a low of 78.

Wednesday will be rather breezy and baking hot and under mostly sunny skies expect a high of 98 with a heat index near 110.

Stay cool.
