CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — A dome of high pressure over South Central Texas brought near record lows early Wednesday, but as it moves into the Gulf of Mexico Thursday warmer and more humid conditions return to the Coastal Bend.

No significant rain is expected through the weekend, but eyes once again return to the tropics.

Temperatures dipped into the middle 50s early today as the wind became light and skies were clear, but developing onshore flow later this week will increase Gulf moisture and limit overnight cooling.

This will mean highs in the middle to the upper 80s, while lows climb into the middle to upper 60s.

Meanwhile, a tropical wave in the central Caribbean is expected to develop into a tropical cyclone over the weekend. The system is likely to move toward the Yucatan by early next week.
