CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Instead of dealing with some icy conditions to start this week, we are having to deal with milder temperatures and some patchy dense fog across South Texas this morning.

Visibility is down below a mile over some spots including here in Corpus Christi, Ingleside, Rockport and over towards Flour Bluff. Use caution and give yourself plenty of time to arrive to your destination safely.

There is a weak frontal boundary that is in the northern parts of the Coastal Bend and is accompanied by a few stray showers. This weak boundary will continue to move through the area as the morning progresses and will eventually push south and over the Gulf waters.

As this happens, clouds will clear out and the fog will improve and then a breezy northerly wind will take over. So, look for mainly sunny skies by late morning and into this afternoon with a high in the low 70s. Winds will be north-northeast around 10-20 mph that will improve later in the evening.

Tonight, we'll have a few clouds in the area with much lighter winds and an overnight low in the middle 40s.

There will be more sunshine and mild temperatures in store for Tuesday. Winds will shift to the southeast around 10-20 mph and we'll forecast a high of 74.

Clouds will begin to increase on Wednesday and stay with us pretty much the rest of the week and into the weekend. Another weak front aims to push through the area Wednesday night and into Thursday morning, but recent forecast model data is hinting that it may stall just north of the area.

Either way, temperatures will remain in the 70s for highs and into the 60s for lows. Chances for a few showers enter Wednesday night and over the weekend, but it only looks stray at best. We'll keep an eye out if those chances increase.

Beginning Wednesday night and into the end of the week, there will also be some sea fog that will roll in during the late evenings and early mornings due to the cooler than normal Gulf waters and the warm air that will ride over it.

Have a great day!
