CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — Although yesterday's cold front ushered Canadian high pressure into the region on stiff northerly winds, lingering mid-level clouds kept overnight temperatures rather mild. Those clouds will move away early today, leaving the rest of the week fair.

Expect a cooler night tonight, then gradual warming. As the weak disturbance keeping clouds in the Coastal Bend overnight moves away, the expected sunny skies will allow temperatures to surge into the middle 80s.

Dry air will cool readily overnight tomorrow, then a gradual moderation of temperatures ensues for the rest of the week.

By Sunday, a weak upper-level trough will bring a stray shower or two across South Texas.

Highs will be in the 80s, with lows in the 60s.
