CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for an area in Jim Wells County including Alice, San Diego and Ben Bolt.
The warning is valid until 8:15 p.m. Sunday.

Winds of up to 60 mph and quarter-sized hail is possible.
The potential population exposed in the storm is 35,687, according to the NWS.
Earlier, the NWS reported that showers and thunderstorms are developing along an outflow boundary in the northern part of the Coastal Bend. These storms were moving southward and are capable of producing brief heavy downpours and gusty winds.
