CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The cooler weather will continue this week as northerly winds persist but increased sunshine will help warm our days back into the 70s while nights will be chilly.

Hurricane Zeta is heading for the Louisiana coast today, expected to make landfall by this evening near New Orleans. We'll see clearing skies as drier air moves in on the backside of the system.

Dry weather will persist through the weekend with pleasant weather for Halloween. We'll set our clocks back an hour before going to bed Saturday night as we return to Standard time.

Today will start off cloudy with areas of drizzle early. Clouds will decrease in the afternoon with cool northwest winds up to 25 mph and a high of 68.

We'll have a chilly night with clear skies, a cold breeze and a low of 49.

Thursday will be bright and a bit warmer with a high of 74 with northwest winds at 12-22 mph.
