CORPUS CHRISTI — It's going to be a very hot weekend here in the Coastal Bend. A Heat Advisory has been issued from noon until 7pm tonight. That means we can expect heat index values to range from 110 to 115 degrees. People should use extreme caution when spending extended periods of time outdoors this afternoon. The forecast for today calls for partly sunny skies with an actual high temperature of 98 degrees. The winds will be picking up out of the southeast at 15 to 20 miles per hour. Tonight we can expect partly cloudy skies with an overnight low around 80 degrees.
We will remain in this hot and humid weather pattern through the end of next week. Daytime high temperatures will continue in the upper 90's to around 100 degrees. The overnight low temperatures will be around 80 degrees. There is very little chance for rain in the forecast period.
