CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A cold front that came through the region early yesterday, bringing much cooler and drier air to the South Texas.
We are certainly feeling it this morning with temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s. The air is also noticeably drier with the dewpoint in the 20s & 30s. This is substantially down from last Friday where our dewpoints were in the 60s and 70s!
So for today, it will be a sensational day with mainly sunny skies and a moderate northeasterly breeze around 6-12 mph and an afternoon high of 77.
Tonight will be cool/chilly with clear skies and an overnight low of 51. Depending on the winds relaxing a bit more in the evening, this could even drop a few degrees more!
Tuesday, we'll keep the cool and drier air in place for one more day with another round of sunshine and a seasonal high of 78.
Humidity will start to increase by the middle of the week and the overnight lows will start to climb back into the low 60s and afternoon highs back into the 80s.
More clouds will return, but there will still be plenty of sunshine to go around Wednesday through the end of the week. Also, expect a decent breeze each afternoon, turning southeasterly however, around 10-15 mph.
We'll be keeping an eye on our next frontal boundary that will bring us another opportunity for some rain and cooler temperatures late Sunday and into Monday of next week. However, given it's more than 7 days out, we'll monitor and update the forecast as necessary.
Have a great day!
