CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — High humidity in the region has led to widespread fog in the area and has prompted the National Weather Service Office in Corpus Christi to issue a Dense Fog Advisory for the entire Coastal Bend until 10 a.m.
Motorists are urged to use caution as many locations are seeing fog below a quarter of a mile. Low beams are best for driving in fog, high beams illuminate the water droplets more and makes it harder to see, and be sure to keep plenty of distance between you and the vehicle in front of you for safety.
Otherwise, we'll have more clouds in the area today with only a passing stray shower. Temperatures will still be on the mild side with a high of 74 with winds from the east-northeast at 6-12 mph.
Tonight will once again be muggy, but cool, and we'll see fog develop once again. Low temperatures will fall into the upper 50s to low 60s with light winds.
A cold front will arrive Wednesday afternoon with scattered showers. We'll still warm up nicely into the middle 70s before the front arrives and cools temperatures down.
Thursday and Friday will be very nice with mainly sunny skies and highs in the 60s after starting off with morning temperatures in the 30s and 40s.
On Saturday, the clouds increase again ahead of another cold front that will move through South Texas on Sunday around midday with another shot at a few showers. Winds will be gusty with the Sunday cold front and send temperatures to the 30s by Monday morning.
Unfortunately, the rainfall opportunity for Wednesday and Sunday isn't great, rainfall amounts will only be a few tenths, and will not be a drought-buster.
But it's a rainfall chance nonetheless and will be much welcomed!
