CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — We start off Friday morning with patchy dense fog over the Coastal Bend with visibility below a quarter of a mile for many locations.

This a direct result of warm and humid air that is filtering into South Texas, courtesy of high pressure over the southeastern part of the United States.

There is a Dense Fog Advisory in effect for Bee, Refugio and Aransas counties until 9 a.m. Motorists are urged to use caution on the roadways. Give yourself plenty of time to arrive to your destinations safely.

For today, we'll look for a few more clouds in the afternoon. Unfortunately, there will be no rainfall in those clouds and we'll instead be warm and humid. Look for an afternoon high around 83 in Corpus Christi and the mid to upper 80s possible for our inland communities. Hopefully a nice east-southeasterly winds around 10-15 mph will help ease some of the warmth. Also, for the boaters and mariners, there is a High Rip Current Risk today.

Tonight, we'll have another round of fog and those overnight lows will be on the mild side in the lower 60s with light winds.

The weekend is looking great for outdoor activity. There will be a healthy mix of sunshine and clouds with overnight lows in the low 60s, including morning fog, and afternoon highs in the low to mid-80s.

A weak frontal boundary will ease into the area on Monday, but it will have hardly any effect to start next week. It could bump the high down only a degree or two.

The next front should have a bit more a punch to it, but it's still not a strong front though. It should arrive on Wednesday.

Winds will pick up and shift to the north when passage occurs and slowly filter drier and cooler air into the region.

Thanksgiving looks great with plenty of sunshine. Temperatures will start on the cool side and afternoon highs getting pretty warm in the upper 70s to low 80s for some in the Coastal Bend.

Have a great weekend!
