CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Surface high pressure will remain in place for one more night and then shift slowly east on Friday.

This will result in one more night of record low or near record-low temperatures before the oppressive Summertime South Texas humidity returns to the area. Winds will also increase with this process through the weekend.

Tonight will be clear calm and almost cool again with a below-normal low near 70.

Friday will be sunny with generally light winds and slowly increasing humidity with a high of 93.

Friday night will be mainly clear and more seasonal and tranquil with a low of 74.

Saturday expect only isolated showers near the coast (most areas stay dry) and not quite as sunny. It will be more humid and hot with a high of 92.

Sunday the winds return with high heat returning to the area.
