Expect a cool start to the weekend

CORPUS CHRISTI — It was a cool start to 2021 here in the Coastal Bend. We saw a mixture of sunshine and clouds with a daytime high of 59 degrees. We dropped into the upper 30 this morning. We can expect pretty similar weather conditions again tomorrow. Look for a gradual warm up on Sunday. The forecast for tonight calls partly cloudy skies with an overnight low of 38 degrees. It will be sunny and mild on Saturday. Expect an afternoon high around 63 degrees. Temperatures should warm to around 70 degrees on Sunday. The next front will arrive late on Wednesday. There is slight chance for a few showers with the frontal passage. This will also lead a little cooler weather for Thursday and Friday.
